To better serve the community and enhance waste collection services, Waste Connections is introducing a monthly curbside bulk pickup program, beginning Wednesday, June 4th, 2025 (or on a date selected by the city).
🗓 How It Works
The city will be divided into four quadrants, with each area receiving bulk pickup service once per month. This new system ensures a more efficient and organized process, making it easier for residents to dispose of large household items and yard debris.
- Pickup Day: Wednesdays (once per month per quadrant)
- Limit: Each household may set out up to 4 cubic yards of bulky items or brush per month.
- Placement: All items must be placed at the curb and easily accessible for pickup crews.
✅ Acceptable Non-Brush Items
- Mattress/Box Spring
- Couches
- Chairs
- Bed Frames
- Small Tables
- Small Hutches
- Small Dressers
- General Household Items
- TVs (older tube TVs must have screens broken out)
- Carpet (cut into 4′ sections and tied/taped in rolls)
- Appliances (dishwashers, washers, dryers, stoves)
🌿 Acceptable Brush Items
- Contractor bags filled with leaves or yard clippings
- Manageable bundled brush (Excessive piles may be rescheduled for pickup the following week)
- Tree trunks no larger than 8 inches in diameter
🚫 Unacceptable Items
Please do not include the following in your curbside bulk pickup:
- Construction materials (sheetrock, plywood, boards, pallets, bricks, dirt, rocks)

- Regulated medical, asbestos, or hazardous waste
- Propane tanks

This new service aims to keep our neighborhoods cleaner and more organized while offering a convenient way to dispose of large items responsibly. Keep an eye out for more updates from the city on your quadrant’s scheduled pickup week.
