Help Us Bring New Life to Jonathan Allison Park 🌳
We’re excited to share a vision that could transform one of Rogers’ parks — Jonathan Allison Park—into a vibrant, welcoming space for families, children, and future generations to enjoy. 💚
Originally donated by the Allison family in memory of their young son, the park has long held a special place in our community. While the fields have gone quiet in recent years, we now have an opportunity to bring the park back to life—with your help.
Thanks to a $300,000 grant from Texas Parks and Wildlife, we have the funding lined up for major improvements. But there’s a catch: to unlock the grant, we need to raise a $150,000 match. The good news? That match can be made through volunteer work, equipment use, and in-kind donations—not just cash!
We’re inviting YOU—our neighbors, local businesses, skilled workers, and families—to be part of this incredible project. 🛠️ Whether you can lend a hand, provide materials, or help spread the word, your support matters.
What’s in the Works?
Plans include:
- 🦋 A butterfly garden filled with native plants
- 🛝 A large, modern, inclusive playground
- 🚶♂️ Accessible walking trails
- 🧺 Picnic areas perfect for families and gatherings
These additions will turn the park into a space that brings people together, promotes healthy outdoor activity, and continues to honor Jonathan’s legacy.
